The hotel is nestled in the Cumbrian countryside, on the outskirts of the charming village of Grasmere. Grasmere was once the home of the famous poet William Wordsworth; today you can visit two of his former homes - Dove Cottage and Rydal Mount. The beautiful countryside surrounding the hotel is ideal for walkers and cyclists. Lake Grasmere is situated just south of the village of Grasmere, while the popular lake Windermere is 8 Km away.

For a less formal dining experience you can relax in the comfortable Green Room with a freshly brewed tea or coffee, light meal, or a sumptuous dessert and enjoy views across the garden.
