Maids Head

Restaurant

The AA Rosette awarded Courtyard Restaurant has an a la carte menu that changes regularly in conjunction with seasonal produce, incorporating the abundance of fine local Norfolk produce. The food is of a very high quality. Alternatively, guests can take a step back in time at The Maids Head Bar, Norwich's oldest serving bar. This Jacobean bar is a real treat and exudes charm and character. Sample a fine wine, local beer or whiskey in this cosy snug bar or sample the lounge bar menu. For a more contemporary bar there is the The Yard Bar, a chic and up beat bar offering a Tapas menu, quirky cocktails and fine wines.

Exterior

It is traditional in appearance and timber features prominently in the bedrooms. The hotel itself dates back to the 13th century. Originally owned by the early Bishops in the day of William the Conqueror, it is rumored that in 1587 Elizabeth I slept there.
