McHardy Lodge was built in the 1890s as an elegant summer residence for the McHardy family and has been faithfully restored to its former glory. With a wealth of rich native Kauri timber and antique furnishings, the atmosphere exudes luxury and warmth. McHardy Lodge is a 5 star rated Boutique Lodge situated in a quiet cul de sac on exclusive Napier Hill with stunning views of the surrounding mountain ranges and Pacific Ocean. The Lodge has four sumptuous deluxe suites, featuring ultra comfortable super king beds and spacious bathrooms with deep tub or claw foot baths and separate showers, and two standard queen rooms with shower rooms en suite. McHardy Lodge provides a luxurious and centrally located base from which to experience the best of Napier and Hawkes Bay - the wineries and gourmet dining experiences, the Art Deco heritage, golf at Cape Kidnappers, the Gannet Colony and our fantastic cycle trails around the beautiful Hawkes Bay.
