In particular car journey time is approximately 2 hours. Take the free road to Mérida, straight to Leona Vicario. Immediately after Leona Vicario is the town of Nuevo Valladolid. At the entrance to this town (km 262 of the road) there is a deviation to the right (just after the stop). Turn there and follow the road straight on until the end where the signs for El Ideal can be found (to the left), and (to the right) Chiquilá is 45 minutes from that point.
