Its very impressive and elegant building is a reminder of the Latvian Soviet past. Built in 1878, destroyed during the war and entirely rebuilt in 1956, it still preserves its historical significance. The Opera House is just opposite to the hotel and all the main sights, clubs, bars, restaurants and shops are just 2 minutes away.
